Job Summary:

The Wastewater Operations Manager (OM) oversees the safe performance of a Veolia Industrial

Wastewater plant, processing both Organic and Inorganic waste streams, while focusing on ways to

improve processes and increase productivity. The OM will work directly for the Veolia Site Leader to

foster a compliance-based culture with the client, outside regulatory agencies, and within Veolia itself

while serving as a driving force for the EHS program. The Operations Manager is the visible and active

leader for 8+ Field Service Representatives and other positions, of the wastewater area of the facility,

promoting a favorable and productive environment for all employees and the client.Key Characteristics

● Ability to manage the 24/7 operation of wastewater area in a client facility

● Ability to manage 8+ Field Service Representatives (and others) as their direct supervisor

● Willingness to share On-Call responsibilities with other Operations Managers

● Production driven in meeting the client contract

● Highly organized in being able to manage multiple operational, administrative, and contractual

responsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities

● Oversee the daily operation of the wastewater area of the facility ensuring optimal performance

and efficiency

● Review system performance and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize

downtime

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues● Collaborate with others to understand the overall operation of the facility

● Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety regulations

● With the assistance of the Human Resources Manager and Veolia Site Leader, manage a team of

Field Service Representatives and other positions, providing training, guidance, and

performance evaluations

● Develop, implement, and maintain standard operation procedures (SOPs) for the wastewater

area and associated operations

● Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels

● Manage budgets

● Prepare and present regular reports on system performance and improvement initiatives

● Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Preferred:

● Demonstrated people and operations management skills

● Demonstrated project management skills

● Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing process, Six Sigma & or Kaizen Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS

● Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory

control, variable cost productivity, and fulfillment metrics, quality systems, cost systems, and

fulfillment metrics, and procedures

● Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, & other governmental regulations

● Proficiency in SAP
