Full Job Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our growing team. You will be preparing individual, corporate, trust and non-profit tax returns during the tax season. Our firm strives to do more than just tax preparation as you would also be providing yearly on-going services including but not limited to: Tax planning/consulting, bookkeeping, payroll and business formations. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while still being able to achieve a high level of attention to detail, organization and multitasking.

Job Responsibilities

- Preparing individual, corporate, trust and non-profit tax returns

- Bookkeeping

- Assist with payroll processing and filings

- Ongoing tax planning for clients

- Stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws and regulations

- Business formation

- Client communications

- Special projects and/or research as assigned

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in tax preparation

- Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes

- Ability to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment and work independently

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in tax preparation software. UltraTax preferred

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Drive for professional growth

- Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred

Compensation

- Competitive compensation based on experience & licenses. $25 - $40/hr.
