Description We are looking for a part time Accounting Clerk to join a reputable non-profit organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in managing and processing accounts payable, handling data entry tasks, managing invoice processing, and utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks. This role will be on-site or hybrid, and open to candidates who can be onsite in South Minneapolis.Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable tasks effectively and accurately. Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner. Carry out data entry tasks with a high level of precision. Use Microsoft Excel to maintain data and conduct financial analysis. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed. Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records. Resolve customer inquiries professionally and promptly. Process customer credit applications with attention to detail and accuracy. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to financial policies and regulations.Requirements Must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes. Proficiency in data entry is essential for this role. Demonstrated experience in invoice processing is required. Applicant should have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Must exhibit strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently is vital. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. A strong sense of professionalism and ethical conduct is expected. Previous experience in an accounting role would be advantageous. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is necessary. Must display problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with accounting software and systems is beneficial.
