Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that revolve around managing our company's accounts receivable process. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry of accounting software systems.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the entire accounts receivable process Utilize accounting software systems to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts regularly Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and credit applications Perform billing functions and manage cash applications Monitor cash activity and take appropriate action when necessary Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly Continually identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts receivable process. Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems is required Proven experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with billing functions Previous experience with cash activity management Knowledge of cash applications in a business context Strong understanding of general accounting principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
