Job Description

The Administrative Assistant positionwill be responsible for printing driver documents, reviewing and processing invoices, monthly accruals and other administrative related functions.

  • Printing driver shipping documents, checking in orders and filing paperwork.
  • Debrief drivers in accordance with written SOPs.
  • Complete consolidated manifests for trailer shipments.
  • Assist drivers with any problems/issues that arise.
  • Create load sheets, prepare reviews and stamp all manifests.
  • Update orders based upon driver paperwork and 10-day facility logs
  • Reviews vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and assist with AP related functions.
  • Assist in monthly accruals, run reports for month end accruals to corporate accounting department.
  • Reviews vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and completes all AP related functions. Ensures proper coding to correct location and GL account with department managers approval; batches & submits to Corporate A/P
  • Assist in monthly accruals.
  • Reports month end accruals to corporate accounting department.
  • Generates analysis, reviews and communicates various reports.
  • Performs other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of related transportation/logistics experience
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of related transportation/logistics experience
  • Knowledge of waste routing and disposal of Hazardous Materials
  • Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and State Waste Regulations
