- Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting and basic system administration
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Ability to work effectively within own department team and cross-departmentally
- Ability to meet inflexible project deadlines and detail orientation
- Ability to collaborate well with remote teammates
- Provide and receive critical feedback with a collaborative attitude
- Strong ability to collaborate outside of the development team with other stakeholders in the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience in a software development profession or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Big Data development experience or experience with Big Data tools such as Hive and Spark
- Familiarity with data ingestion, data analysis, data integration and data design
- Knowledge of web services and microservices technologies
- Experience writing SQL
- Familiarity with deploying services in a containerized environment using Docker
- Experience with GIT, source tree, or other version control tools
- Build, validate, and perform quality assurance on large sets of data from a variety of sources
- Analyze, maintain, and optimize existing data fabrication processes
- Work with team members to plan, estimate, and execute development tasks
