Tuition reimbursement, medical, dental, retirement benefits and more!ResponsibilitiesThe Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care team.Maintains patient carePerforms examinations and identifies relevant data from images accuratelyCommunicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalParticipates in crafting a culture of patient safety and knowledge of emergency preparedness for facilityVerify patient identification and documentation andconnect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocolEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes, and file jacket transfers in a timely fashionAccurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archivingParticipates as an active team memberOrients and mentors new employees and studentsParticipates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiativesResponsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms and suppliesCorrectly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelinesIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is in working order according to Department guidelinesAccepts new technology as it is introduced into the facilityDemonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population servedPartners with patient/care-giver in care/decision makingCommunicates in an encouraging manner and ensures a safe, secure environmentIndividualizes plan of care to meet patient needsModifies clinical interventions based on population servedQualificationsRequired:A.R.R.T.
