Business Analyst , Maple Grove, Minnesota Must be local to MN or s Only Crop Insurance must for non -local profile CTH It will be Hybrid Remote/ Onsite 12+ months Phone and Skype JD: Business Analyst is the software development representative for one or more products. They partner with key stakeholders to analyze potential features that could be developed within the product(s). During that analysis they bring a full functional understanding of the product they represent including, but not limited to, user workflow, backend processes and potential change impact. As features are prioritized the Business Analyst is responsible for working with the scrum team to deliver those features to production. Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, BCIS or related fields or equivalent work related experience.
  • Requires 8+ years of experience in software application development as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner
  • Crop Insurance experience or Risk Management Agency (RMA) & National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) experience
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
Qualifications desired:
  • Business Process Knowledge understanding of the related activities or tasks that are needed to produce a specific service or project
  • Problem resolution awareness of the need for problem resolution, the ability to identify and gather the critical resources needed to make a decision and the facilitation skills to bring the group to an overall consensus
  • Negotiation ability to reach an understanding, resolve points of difference, or gain an advantage to satisfy a project or business need
  • Leadership experience leading and motivating development teams through the entire development lifecycle process
  • Solid understanding of the software platforms, operating systems and technologies that are used
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Hands on experience managing all stages of the development life cycle
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams, on-site and remote
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, software engineers, quality analysts, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience for a product(s)
  • Understanding of how a change to a feature affects the product(S) as a whole
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and conceptual development of a product(s)
  • Participate in the visioning for applications and/or processes by defining the 'How' and understanding alignment to the corporate goals and objectives
  • Empowered to make decisions for the Business Implementation Lead
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on prioritization of the sprint backlog
  • Collaborate with development leads during all phases of product development
  • Providing vision and direction to the software development team
  • Lead the development kick off sessions and set expectation for delivery of new functionality
  • Create acceptance criteria at the feature level
  • Create project charters and monthly status updates
  • Oversee all development stages
  • Act as a primary liaison between software development and business
  • Evaluate product progress at each iteration
  • Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams for a product(s).
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope
  • Comply with and uphold organizational standards
  • Respond to changing organizational priorities
  • Manage conflict and issues to resolution
  • Identify and communicate factors other than requirements that affect which solutions are viable
  • Understand when a larger change is justified based on business benefit
  • Understand how additional capabilities present, but not currently used, in a solution can be deployed to provide business value
  • Participates in Business Analysis, project team, or individual meetings with management, preparing discussion topics and presenting information in a professional manner.
