Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be joining our telecom provider team and will be tasked with processing all incoming customer payments, maintaining customer accounts, and contributing to the efficient operations of our Accounts Receivable department. Responsibilities: Accurately process all incoming customer payments such as bank deposits, wires, and credit cards. Obtain, format, and upload payment files from customer databases to our ERP system. Post payments to customer accounts efficiently and accurately. Reconcile and research customer deductions to ensure posted payments are balanced and accurate. Process internal debit memos with clear explanations and distribute to compliance team for additional review and discussion. Create credit memos for customer adjustments, promotional allowances, write-offs, and debit memos. Process manual invoices for customer refunds and apply invoice to open credit memos/unapplied receipts. Communicate overpayments and shortages to the supervisor. Understand and utilize customer's web portals and timeline requirements for payments, disputes, and research. Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of procedures and system enhancements pertinent to the effective and efficient operations of the Accounts Receivable Department. Participate in company-wide meetings and functions.Requirements Proven experience as a Cash Application Specialist or similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with CRM systems Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Experience with Billing Functions Ability to handle Cash Activity and Cash Applications Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
