OverviewExciting opportunity to be part of our collaborative, engaged rehab team in Edina! Southdale Place offers multiple outpatient rehab services and this casual occupational therapist will join a team of phenomenal lymphedema therapists and you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving lymphedema rehab care. In collaboration with patients and families, the therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

FTE 0.01, casual position.

Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosisDevelops an individualized plan of care through coordinationAnalyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goalsImplements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patient responseCoordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge planPartners with care team to provide skilled interventionImplements and alters treatment to reflect change in patient status and response to treatmentAssesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate educationDocumentation/BillingUses acceptable medical terminology and follows professional practice standards.Completes documentation in a timely manner per department standardsStays in sync with department billing standardsProfessional ExpectationsPrioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management.Understands and follows professional licensure/certification requirementsAdvises team members and/or supervises students as designatedPursues professional development to support clinical standard processesQuality ImprovementCrafting and implementing improvements, and participates in and supports entity/system initiativesQualificationsRequiredOccupational Therapy Licensure in State of Minnesota or temporary licenseActive Basic Life Support CertificationPreferredMaster’s Degree in Occupational Therapy1+year experienceTraining and Certification in Complete Decongestive Therapy, examples: Guenter Klose (Lemer Lymphedema Services), Chikly, Casley-Smith, Vodder, Norton School of Lymphatic studies etc.Lymphedema Association of North America Certification (LANA) or in processEEO StatementEEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
