The Corporate Controller will be responsible for all aspects of corporate accounting and financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of financial controls and systems across the global organization.The Corporate Controller serves as a key member of management. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, he or she will work closely with the global finance organization and other business partners across the Company. This position will have leadership responsibility over a team of twelve professionals, with two direct reports, in the areas corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, and be a key contributor to the implementation of SAP S4 Hana throughout the organization. Additionally, he or she will provide oversight, guidance and direction to the international finance team, specifically in the areas of US GAAP, reporting requirements, and statutory audits, among others. Within these areas, you and your team will complete the financial statement close and consolidation process, prepare the Company’s annual financial statements, complete external audits, build and maintain reporting data, update accounting and control policy standards, interpret US GAAP guidance, and update business and accounting control processes.The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:Hire and train qualified staff to meet requirements while providing performance-related feedback. Collaborate with each direct report to create a professional development plan and work closely with these individuals by providing the coaching and motivation needed to succeed.Responsible for maintaining a system of internal accounting controls, maintaining general ledger accounts and related activities to produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports, for US GAAP and internal purposes.Oversee period-end close processes globally, including the consolidation of global financial results in compliance with US GAAP.Act as a key liaison with the Company’s external auditors and oversee the completion of the consolidated US GAAP audit.Work closely with international finance teams on the timely completion of local statutory audits.Oversee and maintain the development of a control documentation and operating effectiveness testing process across the Company.·artner effectively with other finance team members and non-accounting functions to drive automation, process enhancements, and improved controls.Accountable to ensure consistent compliance with corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP.Subject matter expert to make decisions, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest level of standards for completeness and accuracy.Act as a technical resource for the Company on US GAAP matters, including:Effectively researching, identifying and interpreting emerging accounting matters as issued by the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies, determining the impact on current operations and the financial accounting environment and communicating these matters to key management;Researching complex and/or new transactions (e.g., new or revised contracts, terms of new customer arrangements, new revenue streams) to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures.Identify and implement upgrades to the Company’s financial information systems, including the automation of processes and workflows where possible.Provide oversight and guidance throughout the global implementation of S4 Hana, ensuring that processes and controls are established following best practices and are in compliance with US GAAP.Participate in other projects as required.
