Key Responsibilities:
Establish an enterprise data governance target operating model focusing on ownership, quality, and knowledge to aid growth and performance
Work closely with Clients and Operations to incorporate data practices and standards across our delivered services and technology platforms
Directly manage a small global team with responsibility to oversee work performed by all teams involved in data governance and quality initiatives, ensuring collaboration, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards
Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards
Develop and execute a strategic vision for data governance aligned with business objectives
Prioritize initiatives and build cases for investment in tools and improvements related to data governance and quality
Implement a data governance framework, upgrade data catalogs, and establish data quality and issues management processes and tooling in an Agile mindset
Work closely with various functions and business units to align data needs with business outcomes
Collaborate with platform engineering teams and business data product owners to ensure alignment of data governance and quality programs with strategic goals
Establish cohesive roadmap for data related initiatives including data governance, data quality, data integration, and data lineage
Ensure data governance and quality programs deliver actionable results achieving agreed upon strategic outcomes
Drive the development and success of organizational data driven programs
Ensure data is utilized effectively to drive informed decision making and support business growth, efficiency, and risk initiatives and operations
Role Requirement:
Travel possible between 10-15%
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data governance or data management
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data warehousing
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading global cross-functional teams
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Agile practices and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or business administration; master's degree
Expert understanding of data governance principles, frameworks and methodologies, andexperience applying them in the real world all stages of the data lifecycle
Proven track record of successful leadership in implementing enterprise-wide data governanceframeworks and initiatives
Demonstrated experience implementing data quality processes
Experience managing a global team and overseeing data initiatives across different regions
Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirementsinto data governance solutions
Execution excellence and a record of accomplishment in delivering long term business value
Experience with data valuation and data product management
Strong risk management awareness and understanding
Highest level of integrity and the ability to foster trust and loyalty
Strong written and oral communications skills
Certifications - one or more preferred
CDMP Certified Data Management Professional
Six Sigma
Other certification in data management or related field
