Data Quality Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Data Quality Lead develops and implements strategies to ensure General Mills data is fit for business use. The Data Quality Lead will be part of a team that actively develops and supports the evolving Global Data Governance Program that focuses on Data Cataloging, Data Quality, and Data Governance metrics. This team focuses on enabling Data Governance through tools and solutions. This role is responsible for the development of Data Governance tools and solutions, as well as oversight of general architecture of all projects to ensure consistency. Additionally, they are responsible for partnering with leadership and Global Data Governance Services (GDGS) team members to deliver a reporting and metric solution to enable data governance programs and projects to assist in showing data governance maturity, issues and global views of over Data Governance Health and Data Quality health.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead the design and implementation of Data Governance and Quality Solutions
  • Lead the development of new and enhanced data governance solutions through the use of various data management technologies
  • Create high-level Data Quality & Data Governance Framework Health reports for Senior Leadership for Master Data and Enterprise Critical Domains
  • Mentor other Data quality analysts, Data Stewards and Data owners
  • Create and communicate Data Governance Reporting strategies and roadmaps
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to Global Data Quality tools and processes to enable a sustainable and measurable governance practice

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Data Quality and Data Management tools; such as, Information Steward, SAP, Data Services, Database, SQL experience or other MDM solutions
  • Ability to visualize and create reports that tell the story behind the quality of the data and be able to effectively share the message with leadership
    • Experience with Tableau, excel and/or other reporting tools
  • Involvement in managing and delivering medium-large projects or programs
  • Curious and willing to ask challenging questions when not necessarily a subject matter expert
  • End to end data quality project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with SAP Master Data Domains
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Experience with Data Models
  • Experience and interest in leading, influencing, coaching and mentoring others
