OverviewCoordinates the planning of changes and additions to existing electrical systems. Directs the activities of electrical and other contractors and assists in, develops, and negotiates electrical contracts. Coordinates the maintenance, repair and installation of hospital's electrical systems and equipment as needed. Consult with Manager/Supervisor in regards to installations/repairs of Electrical Equipment. Oversees the wire management program system-wide, including high and low voltage.Internal posting through 8/19/2023.Responsibilities/Job Description
Coordinate all electrical circuit installations and change orders.
Assure that all circuits are in conformance with state and national electric code.
Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are maintained on all electrical circuit control panels.
Negotiate and evaluate electrical contracts.
Receive and prioritize assignments and work orders.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; estimate time, material and cost requirements.
Perform or direct all electric circuiting work in the hospital including installation of new branch, lighting, life safety and other circuits as needed.
Record keeping.
Coordinate the Wire Management Program.
QualificationsRequired:
Master Electrician licensure, to be posted for the facility to meet state requirements.
2 years of experience in project management.
Experience in motor control circuitry and low voltage systems such as Temperature Control/Energy Management Systems/Fire Alarm Systems.
Experience with Electrical contracts.
Two year electrical maintenance degree with 5 year apprenticeship, with master electrician training.
Current National Electrical Code training, sufficient to maintain licensure.
