As an Electrical Designer II you are the bridge between Estimation and Operations. A central role within the engineering team, Design Engineers are responsible for developing detailed designs, using CAD software, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the feasibility and functionality of products. The Electrical Designer will work with our Estimators, Pre-Construction Team, Drafters, and Project Managers throughout the design phase until it is ready to hand off to our Operations team.  KE performs Design Build projects, nationwide, in a variety of industries including but not limited to Biodiesel & Ethanol production facilities, Grain storage, Fertilizer Terminals, Feed & Flour Mills, Dairy Processing plants, and Cement/Aggregate plants.What You'll Do:You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:Assist design leads in customer/client design reviewsComplete conceptual engineering and design performing the following:Sizing conduit/cable to serve electrical equipment such as MCC’s, Switchboards, Panelboards, and TransformersVerify vendor quotes and provide submittal packagesComprehend MCC BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and controller types are accurateComprehend Switchgear BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and over current protection types are correctSize conduits and cables to serve:Motors, Controls and Instrumentation devicesGeneral power and lighting branch circuitingLow and Medium Voltage Distribution systems such asAct as a bridge from estimating to operations or concept to realityPeriodic travel to customer sites as needed
