This group develops a range of vision-based products; cameras, video processors, recorders, displays, and are working on utilizing machine learning to analyze and improve autonomous aircraft operations. We also work on systems to help connect various sensor devices to more advanced processing systems to help automate and reduce workload on the aircraft. Join us as an Electrical Engineer summer intern. This position is onsite, in Burnsville, Minnesota.What You Will Do:

Support engineers in modeling and simulation.

Be involved in creation of schematics and circuit boards.

Develop and provide hands-on lab support.

Document test results and generate test reports.

Learn to work with engineering systems like Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and JIRA to support critical engineering functions and reviews.

Interact with other interns throughout the summer, gain a familiarity with the company, and develop an understanding of the operations and opportunities at Collins Aerospace.

What You Will Learn:

You will learn to generate conceptual and detailed designs for electro-mechanical systems and develop analytical skills to assess impact of designs.

You will be able to carry out assembly, testing and troubleshooting of subsystems at prototype and integrated system levels.

Learn PLM system and release documentation process to support the design team.

Summarize and present results to internal teams.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Understanding of Circuit Theory.

Experience using basic EE lab toll like power supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope.

Knowledge or experience with MATLAB, SPICE simulation software, LABView.

Knowledge or experience with EE CAD packages for schematic capture and PCB Layout.

Knowledge or experience with C programming and Python script writing.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
