Embedded Software Engineer CDirect-Hire, Full-TimeBrooklyn Park, MN (on-site)$70k to $90k with full benefits

Position Summary:The Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop and test all aspects of machine communication and control related to laser processing equipment supporting multiple industries (aerospace, automotive, space exploration, additive manufacturing, and more). This includes external equipment and hardware, as well as the HMI, designed to drive system operation. It also includes motion control hardware, laser control hardware, a variety of electromechanical devices, automation, and support of PLC-based hardware and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and develop technically superior and cost-effective solutions
  • Work on a cross-functional Engineering team developing new products and features
  • Satisfy customer-specific requirements through the design, testing, and documentation of unique solutions
  • Ensure quality by creating verification and testing protocols to validate designs
  • Create and support documentation for software release and newly developed features, providing content for training both internal and external users
  • Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, and service personnel

Qualifications:
  • BS/MS degree with 1+ year of professional work experience
  • Professional experience in C/C based programming
  • Experience with inter-computer communication protocols (serial, TCP/IP, USB, etc…)
  • Adept problem solver with a natural curiosity for technology and a drive to excel
  • Knowledge of electrical systems preferred
