Title: Financial Services Project Manager Location: 100% Remote Type: 6 month contract - with extension or conversion to FTE We are seeking a Sr. Project/Program Manager to join a great teamto support, under general direction, the Senior Project & Program Manager oversees several moderately sized internal or customer-facing projects. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of projects. Must be familiar with the scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. You will work with theProject Team, Customers, Program Managers, Directors, Product Managers, Senior or Executive Leadership

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates internal and external resources to deliver successful customer implementations and consultative projects.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Coordinates and assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Drafts Statements of Work as needed.
  • Develops a detailed project plan and monitors and tracks project progress against plan.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional resources to ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Maintains the confidentiality and customer strategies, plans, and other proprietary information.
  • Communicates effectively to both business and technical stakeholders within the project team.
  • Represents the client professionally in all written and verbal communication and deliverables.
  • Builds confidence in the organization and the business benefits and integrity of its products and services.
  • Maintains required technical/professional knowledge; keeps abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise, including product enhancements.
  • Maintains an organized approach and meets or exceeds agreed upon time and quality standards for end work product.
  • Identifies comprehensive recommendations to resolve problems and affect process improvements.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Participates in the development of project standards, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress. Utilizes established project standards, procedures, and quality objectives.
  • Conducts project kickoff meetings, communicating individual roles and project expectations. Ensures that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
  • Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts.
  • Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Identifies ways to resolve all types of issues impacting the success of the project. Keeps management aware of the situation.
  • Provides required project status reporting. Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Provides the team with constructive feedback as it pertains to project performance.
  • May coach or mentor less experienced team members.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate within a matrix organization

OTHER DUTIES:
  • Participates in Project Management Office, team, or individual 1:1 meetings with management, preparing discussion topics and presenting information in a professional manner.
  • Develops personal development plans and demonstrates progress to the established goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: • 5 years of IT project management experience or equivalent team leadership experience. • Experience working in Banking, Compliance, or Professional Services is desired.

Technical Competencies: • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. • Project Financial Management • Project Planning • Project Issue/Risk Management • Project Scope Management

Tool Skills: • Smartsheet • MS Visio • MS Excel • MS Word • MS PowerPoint • MS Teams • Salesforce • Wrike PMP Certification Preferred.
