Position Overview As Securian continues to expand its cybersecurity capabilities, this team member will focus on supporting a set of technologies owned by the IAM Engineering team, including PingFederate, PingID, PingVerify, PingOne Risk, Azure AD, and Venafi. The primary focus of this role will be handling requests and incidents submitted to the IAM Engineering team, which largely include supporting application developers configure and update SSO connections (PingFed), update certificates (Venafi), and occasional escalated tickets related to end user-facing SSO (PingFed) or MFA (PingID) issues. The most common request to our team is creating and/or updating SSO connections in PingFederate, so we are looking specifically for someone who has experience with PingFederate that can hit the ground running. As ticket volumes ebb and flow, this position will also have an opportunity for growth by contributing to our IAM Engineering projects. Project work could include:Assisting on AWS migrations for our IAM tools (including an opportunity to learn about AWS and Infrastructure as Code)Developing services or processes to make more of our IAM requests and processes available to other teams by self-service, thereby reducing or eliminating manual touch time on requests such as setting up new PingFederate connections, SSL certificates, etc. This could include contributing to and enhancing our existing PingFed Puppet module and CyberArk Sync repo, and writing developer-facing documentation on DevDocs.Expanding our usage of PingVerify to support associate onboarding, or other workflows.Contributing to a new Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform with a goal of providing a single shared solution for authentication to public facing applications and migrating from a legacy directory to a modern solution such as PingOne.This role is joining an existing team of Cybersecurity professionals that are very experienced with the suite of tools owned by IAM Engineering and able to consult and provide additional support on complex issues. Responsibilities include but not limited to: 70%: Handle tickets and incidents for tools supported by the IAM Engineering team (primary focus on PingFederate, but also including PingID, PingVerify, PingOne Risk, CyberArk, and Venafi)30%: Proactively identify and implement process improvements or project work from our Jira board.Participate in a larger off-hours on-call rotation supporting our IAM platforms. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.Previous experience working with PingFederate to establish and update SSO connections.Self-starter excited by the opportunity to dig into the unknown, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive them forward as time permitsExcited by the idea of working in a fast paced environment, ability to quickly learn and adapt to working across different systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other tools supported by the IAM Engineering team (PingFederate, PingID, PingVerify, PingOne Risk, CyberArk, and Venafi). Familiarity and ability to work in an Agile / Scrum environment.Cloud configuration and deployment via Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation).Experience with Cloud runtime services (e.g., AWS EC2, ELB, Kinesis, EKS).
