Are you ready to help make the future with us?We are seeking an Industrial Automation Project Engineer to join our Advanced Service Group in Honeywell’s ROCC facility in Duluth, GA.The Industrial Automation Project Engineer will be a vital member of the Advance Service Group based out of Honeywell’s ROCC (Regional Operations and Collaboration Center) in Duluth, GA. The role entails 50% to 80% travel to key customer sites. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and lifecycle services of Honeywell’s CD (cross direction) systems at customer locations across the United States and Canada. These systems are integral to the production of various materials including pulp & paper, aluminum, rubber, plastic films, and lithium-ion batteries products where a continuous sheet is produced. These CD systems include Honeywell’s patented solutions such as Autoslice, Devronizers, Aquatrol, Aqualizer, Calcoil.While not actively supporting advanced service projects in the field, the team member will also support operations in the ROCC facility as it relates to the Advanced Service Group and continued services working with ROCC leadership.BENEFITS: Benefits provided may differ by role and location. Support upgrades and replacements of customer’s cross direction control solutions, including interfacing with local service groups, factory representatives, and project teams. Execute CD Control interface upgrade projects, such as CDWeb and IDP upgrades, encompassing both hardware and software installation, configuration, and commissioning. Assist ROCC Leadership in monitoring key performance metrics using advanced monitoring tools and communicate performance and potential issues to appropriate resources. Serve as a liaison between field service and customers, connecting them with internal resources as needed to GTAC, Sheet Manufacturing Vertical, COE Team, Advanced Service Group, Sales, and Service Teams, etc. based on monitoring activities. Identify opportunities for additional revenue streams and recommend optimization services to customers. Support the facilitation of training and workshops by aiding in the development of materials, labs, and equipment preparation at the ROCC facility. This includes training sessions covering CD Control applications, interface upgrades, hardware maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Travel to customer site locations up to 50% to 80% of the time. YOU MUST HAVE: 2+ years of academic or industry experience in areas such as Electromechanics, QCS platforms, Electronics, Process Control, Information Technologies, Electrical or Mechanical experience. 1+ year of experience using Basic Windows and Microsoft Office experience.WE VALUE:Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.3+ years of experience maintaining Honeywell QCS Platforms and MD and CD Control packages.Military Experience Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team without the need of direct supervision.Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems.Proficiency in developing new preventive maintenance strategies for existing and new products based on evolving knowledge.Capacity to design and engineer solutions aimed at preventing recurring issues as expertise grows.Capable of writing, reviewing, and / or editing various types of technical reportsAbility to conduct formal meetings with customer management personnel.Capable of evaluating control effectiveness as knowledge is acquired.Competence in evaluating control effectiveness and performing sensor verification and calibration, along with a solid understanding of sensor operations and correctors.Knowledgeable about system architecture, operations, and relevant database itemsHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
