Job Description:

We are looking for an application infrastructure team member.
The right candidate will be a self-starter that can work individually and within a team environment.
This position will be responsible for helping the team maintain and deploy applications in a large Java application clustered environment.
Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures and is responsible for implementing tasks assigned for a corporate pricing application.
Possesses the ability to install, load and develop Vendavo locally.
Possess the ability to implement tasks according to established development standards including local configuration, unit testing and debugging processes and escalate issues as they arise.
Posses the ability to handle simple assignments with supervision from a more senior configuration engineer.

Job performance may include:

Red Hat Linux server administration and configuration as needed.
Vendavo application server setup and configuration.
Application deployments on Linux servers.
Application server troubleshooting and resolution.
Will be expected to be available as part of a rotating support team for off hours support.
May be asked to investigate new technologies from time to time and present findings to the team.

Basic Qualifications:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x, 8.x
Competency with the bash shell and able to administer RHEL servers from the command line.
Ability to code well written bash shell scripts.
Familiarity with the Linux security model.
Able to set file and directory permissions and understand the implications.
Familiarity with configuration and administration of Linux services.
Understand SSH and how to setup and use SSH keys.

Java application

Preferred Qualifications:

Windows 2008+ administration.

Samba

Familiarity with setting up Samba shares and Samba share security.
Application Performance Management tools
Familiarity with APM tools such as CA Wily and/or Dynatrace and how to use them to troubleshoot server issues is a plus.

SQL Query

Automated build tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assigned configuration tasks based on requirements and design documents.
Responsible for unit testing and source control check in of assigned tasks.
Coordinates with the Lead CE to determine how best to implement features.
Supports existing instances in production, QA, stage and development environments.
Responds to off hour support requests if required.
