job detailsjob summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer/Architect to own our organizations data impact and architecture. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data management systems and processes. Develop and execute strategies for infrastructure optimization, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and external vendors, to ensure alignment on infrastructure needs.
Manage the performance, career development, and succession planning for any team members.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365).
Be actively involved in hands-on engineering tasks, such as troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system upgrades.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of IT systems, leveraging automation and DevOps best practices where applicable.
Manage the integration of cloud and on-premise systems, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Oversee the administration, configuration, and management of the Microsoft 365 environment and team, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Collaborate with internal team member and external Microsoft vendor to optimize the use of Microsoft 365 tools, drive adoption, and enhance user experience.
Ensure the security, compliance, and efficiency of Microsoft 365 services, leveraging features such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Manage licensing, service health, and updates within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Lead the migration of legacy systems to Microsoft 365 where applicable.
Lead and manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and develop technical solutions.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including monitoring, incident response, and problem resolution.
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure systems, processes, and procedures.
Ensure a robust disaster recovery plan is in place and conduct regular testing.
