This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. Profile Summary: The IT Event Management Consultant is a key contributor in the success of managing Voya's networks, systems and application availability. This is achieved by quickly resolving incidents by constantly monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware. Profile Description:- Monitors the performance, availability and capacity of Voya's network, computer systems and applications.
- Proactively recognize, analyze, isolate and/or resolve documented hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of tools and techniques.
- Properly escalate incidents in a timely manner per support guidelines and procedures.
- Participates in the collection, analysis, and trending of various metrics for internal reporting
- Ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically, draw valid conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Follow documented support procedures, managing each issue through resolution or turnover in order to maintain established service levels.
- Liaise with L2 support groups and/or development groups to collaborate on the resolution of incidents.
- Incident bridge stewardship in support of timely resolution of internal issues.
- At least 3 years' experience in a technical support or similar role
- Solid understanding and technical experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Foglight, SolarWinds, Insight, and cloud based monitoring tools
- Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people.
- Knowledge in basic networking configurations including diagnostic skills
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
- Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through various collaboration tools.
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
- Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships.
- Ability to work with little supervision and work on a team.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms to audiences at all levels of the organization.
