- 1st point of contact for daily support of manufacturing network hardware devices such as printers, barcode scanners, desktop computers.
- Perform daily checks of IT equipment on manufacturing floor before beginning of shift starts.
- Coordinating the roll-out of IT updates on manufacturing computers. Would need to monitor updates pushed to the machines and co-ordinate when those updates are applied so as to minimize manufacturing disruptions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix hardware devices, PC operating system issues, production software applications, and help with network related issues. Must be able to distinguish troubleshooting between a hardware or software issue.
- Responsible for configuring and maintaining fixture PC's and associated production software applications / drivers that include custom applications, Access DB, Linux RedHat Cloud based systems, GitLab, and others as deployed in production.
- Document items worked and issues resolved and open items for next shift IT manufacturing support analyst.
- Documentation of standard procedures for support IT-related operations in manufacturing and distribution for new and existing process.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts impacting manufacturing until root-cause has been identified.
- Ability to prioritize and balance the demands between daily tasks and project-based workload.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work overtime as needed.
- 3 years of experience supporting manufacturing information technology.
- Must be customer focused and the ability to translate technical request from manufacturing operations to manufacturing architects and developers in a concise manner.
- Clear knowledge and understanding of network topology LAN, WAN and Wireless technologies
- Good oral and written communication skills when interacting with factory personnel and ability to articulate manufacturing issues to escalate support issues.
- Highly motivated and the ability to complete work on time without supervision.
- Previous manufacturing environment experience troubleshooting and implementing barcode scanning technology (1D and 2D), manufacturing label print technology from various vendors (Zebra, Intermec, Thermal Printers).
- Knowledge of Scripting tools like C Sharp (Or the ability to self-educate on these if needed)
- Knowledge and understanding of Access DB and how databases work with Microsoft SQL 2012, 2014, 2016, 2019.
- Knowledge and understanding how Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 operate.
- 3 years of support experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Professional.
- At least associates degree preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- CompTIA A+ certification a plus, but not required
- Network+ certification a plus, but not required
