Lab Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer IIMaplewood - Estimated 24+ months-$32.00 hr.,:Volt Technical Resources is seeking a Lab Research Engineer for a well-known manufacturer in their Maplewood Facility for their Specialty Materials Group.Position Overview:Polymer chemist needed to contribute to an adhesive bonding film program. This position will be focused on lab work to prepare samples and perform testing on polymer films and their bonded constructions to inorganic substrates. Responsibilities will include both synthetic tasks to generate new materials, formulation of the materials into coatable films and then characterization of films and bonded constructions fabricated from these new materials.Position Duties:- Synthesize polymers or other resins as needed.
- Formulation and coating of materials into films.
- Characterization of the formulations and coatings.
- Inspection and characterization of the bonded substrates.
- Contribute summary of experiments and data in laboratory notebooks.
Preferred Qualifications:• MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science• 2-5 years lab experienceVolt is an Equal Opportunity Employer
