Description:The Lab Technician is responsible for sample logging, testing, condition monitoring, and lab upkeep with the Quality team. This person will have an opportunity to work next to the R&D team with samples and doing production floor checks. This includes lab testing and workmanship standards, support the blending and packaging functions of high-performance petroleum products, the performance of day to day monitoring, testing and initial start-up authorization; all by utilizing instrumental analysis to ensure reliability and conformance to specifications.Key Responsibilities:
Condition monitoring, assisting and running lab tests, and backing up the quality department.
Perform pipetting, titrations, Atomic Analysis, fuel dilution, labeling, bar codes, and lab quality standards.
Performing lab tests throughout the full product life cycle such as, but not limited to, FTIR, Viscosity, Density, Pour-point, Cold Crank, XRF, and ICP.
Calibration, Validation, and Troubleshooting of instruments.
Performs sample receiving, in process testing, results generation, and lab upkeep.
Prepare results with LIMS system and test reports as required.
Lab quality standards are at premium at all times, continuing results records and all other reports and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, or related lab sciences course work
6-12 months of quality lab experience
ICP or ICP-MS experience
Comfortability in a fast-paced environment
Great communication and Teamwork skills
