Laser Process Technician IV

Job DescriptionThe Laser Process Technician IV works independently to assist Process Development engineers, scientists, and teams in developing and analyzing products, materials, processes, or equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge and a high degree of independence, focusing on developing laser processes from concept to production. Key responsibilities include executing project tasks, developing solutions, constructing prototypes, coordinating prototyping efforts, innovating processes and tooling, procuring and qualifying laser equipment, preparing technical reports, and training peers. The technician collaborates with various departments to ensure project success, proposes and develops new designs and processes, and supports the evaluation of new technologies. They play a crucial role in solving complex problems in a fast-paced, global environment. This candidate needs at least 5-6 years of professional experience and strong laser cutting experience. AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 6 years related experience.

-5-6 years of Laser Experience required.

CAD-CAM 5-axis programming or equivalent experience.

CAD experience (Solidworks / SolidCAD, preferred).

Experience with laser cutting systems and the associated tooling needs for given machines.

·-Opto-mechanical system experience (laser alignment, focus).-Fixturing and equipment design or trouble shooting experience.-GD&T/print experience -Metals and/or polymer material processing experience.-Experience with motion controllers.-Process optimization experience.-Candidate must work well in a team environment across functions and sites.-Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
