About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst to govern adherence to the Data Management Policy and Procedures for the Consumer Banking and Consumer Lending businesses. Working directly with business and technology partners, this role will implement capabilities for managing data risk and controls through the data life cycle.In this role, you will:

Execute data governance routines and monitor control performance to demonstrate adherence to the Data Management Policy and Procedures.

Produce data domain governance dashboards to communicate subdomain health to business, DMI, risk and compliance stakeholders

Escalate data risks to Consumer Data Domain Council and appropriate Risk and Controls Committees to drive remediation of data issues/defects.

Manage the policy implementation plan by monitoring progress on artifact delivery dates for use case data dictionaries, process mapping and desktop procedures as well as data asset and element metadata, lineage, and data quality checks

Work with business use case owners to review data source dictionaries and confirm data is fit for purpose

Deliver governance control evidence for Domain Executive attestation required under the Consumer Data Management Shared Service RAU. Documents SHRP issues and implement corrective actions for under-performing controls.

Drive funding requests and implementation of strategic approved data sources based on data risks and business priorities.

Develop a risk-prioritized inventory of reports, models and analytic outputs and maintain appropriate business ownership

Collaborate with use case owners in the business to deliver required documentation and controls for use cases including permissible use, use case data dictionaries and desktop procedures.

Ensure business partners leverage approved data sources or have a remediation plan in place for critical regulatory reporting.

Assess elevated risk for non-regulatory use cases identified through new business initiatives, third party sourcing engagements, or operational business activities to identify regulatory or reputational risks for evaluation and decisioning through the Data Use Assessment Panel

Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to Consumer Banking and Lending leaders to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs

Design and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps

Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

Required Qualifications, US:

5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of experience with Retail Banking business and/or specific experience with Consumer Lending business processes

2+ years of experience with one or a combination of the following: compiling and preparing executive summaries, presentations for management and senior leaders.

Desired Qualifications:

Strong understanding of data risk management and controls

Ability to work under strict timelines and meet regulatory mandates

Experience delivering data governance artifacts such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data movement controls and data element level data quality controls
