Growing together.The purpose of the PMO is to provide the skills, processes, tools and methodology to enhance Optum’s and our customers’ ability to implement organizational strategy through successful, consistent and predictable delivery of value from project investments. Be the center of excellence for project management practices at Optum and be the sought after partner for project initiatives throughout the Health System.As a Program Management Office (PMO) Senior Program Manager within Optum, you will play a central role in the fast-paced delivery of key programs that are both cross-organization and highly visible. The PMO drives major technology programs efficiently and effectively. The role works closely with IT and Operational leaderships and external vendors such as system integrators.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Set the standards and tools through which transformation program teams complete their work

Drive, track, and support the overall execution of transformation programs

Craft and manage project plans

Monitor review, and adjust project progress and timelines as needed

Ensure on time and on budget delivery of projects

Devise processes to ensure high quality delivery by internal teams and external vendors that measure the original statement of works (SOW) and project plan

Establish, lead and operate all governance committees and the associated management system used by the cross functional teams to stay aligned and collaborate internally

Build solid risk and issue management processes and associated results to track issue management and risk mitigation

Manage change orders raised including the disposition of the change order against vendor SOW and other previous agreements

Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and organizational change

Establish processes for quantitatively tracking the success of the program, including but not limited to capabilities deployed, users deployed, user satisfaction, and level of customization

Bachelor’s degree

10+ years of experience in delivering ERP projects (Workday, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

7+ years of first-hand experience in leading cross functional, large scope, and highly integrated technology transformation programs in health care

Experience in leading/influencing internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, project management and digital applications

Demonstrated effective presentation and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA

Project management certification - PMI or other applicable/credentialed project management certifications

Experience with ServiceNow

Proven passionate about driving quality within a project organization

Demonstrated ability building trust and effective working relationships at all levels that improve team performance and deliver results
