Low Voltage Technician

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Low Voltage Technician for a project in Minneapolis, MN

PAY: $35.00-$38.00 per hour based on experience

HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays (Plus Overtime), 5 days per week

SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking skilled Low Voltage Control Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in installing and maintaining low-voltage cabling and systems with a strong background in security and access control technologies.

Qualifications of a Low-Voltage Technician:

Install, program, and service IP security cameras, audio/video door entry, access control, and cabling systems

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of low-voltage cabling and related systems

Ensure installations meet industry and safety standards

Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time

Requirements:

MN PLT (Power Limited Technician) License required

Minimum 4 years of experience installing, programming, and servicing IP security cameras, audio/video door entry, access control, and cabling systems

Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and cabling standards

Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE

Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting the upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves

Must have standard hand tools.

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Must have reliable transportation

Must have own tools.
