As part of your duties as a Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to be part of an effort to transition to scientific methods in process development control and then take those best practices to other TE Medical facilities locally in the Twin Cities and around the world.You will also be a key contributor to the development of new processes or improvement to existing processes as products are transferred into a new facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. We may accommodate relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Major responsibilities:

  • Execute process development and other key engineering actions to enable strategic intracompany transfers.
  • Collaborate with other engineers in the Global TE community in the establishment of statistical methods for teflon manufacturing processes.
  • Solve high priority challenging problems leveraging your advanced problem solving, creativity and leadership skills.
  • Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure safe and effective use of the devices TE manufactures.
  • Identify best practices and share among your engineering peers.

What your background should look like:

  • You have a BS Chemical, Material Science or related engineering degree.
  • You have 1to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with polymer products manufacturing process.
  • You approach your work with a positive attitude and seek to raise the energy level of your peers. You enjoy being part of successful teams.
  • You bring a foundational knowledge of thermoplastic processing and materials that are used in the industry.
  • You bring an enthusiasm for Six Sigma and Statistical Methodology (DOE) in manufacturing process development and control.
  • You thrive on coming up with new ideas and leading teams to do the same.
  • Any medical device manufacturing experience you have would be valued, but it is not required.
