Description:They will be trained on several operations: First will be packaging of Medtronic diabetic testing kits. Will be standing primarily, but there are mats. Each kit contains between 5 - 10 items, will follow work orders to complete each type. Putting parts into the kit, running it through a scanner to register the ID number of the product, setting it onto a rack for final packaging. Fairly fast paced, but quality over quantity.Working at a station sitting down doing hand assembly of diabetic needles. Parts range from the size of a pen cap to a sewing needle. Repetitive, will progress to making up to 1200 parts per shift.Could also learn coil winding: taking very fine wires, using a tweezer to set them into a clamp on the machine, watching as the machine winds the coils. This will use microscopes to inspect but is the only microscope use in the building.The final area is machine operation: entry level, the machine will put together diabetic needles.
