Description We are seeking a Medical Receptionist for our healthcare facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves interacting with patients, managing their appointments, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Welcome patients and assist them with clinic and radiology appointment check-ins. Provide clear instructions about necessary paperwork to patients. Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information for accurate and timely billing. Handle the processing of co-pays and other patient payments. Prepare daily charts for patient appointments. Assist in scheduling future appointments for patients. Educate patients about the patient portal and assist with enrollment. Coordinate interpreter services scheduling for patients as necessary. Maintain and update the provider database for accurate tracking of referring providers. Ensure the front office lobby area is well-organized, including maintaining magazine displays, restocking coffee supplies, and general office cleanup. Collaborate effectively with clinic staff to ensure efficient clinic flow and continuity of patient care. Reach out to patients via phone to collect demographic and/or insurance information. Assist patients and visitors with inquiries, directions, or concerns. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Patient Registration is essential. Experience in a Medical Front Office environment is required. Excellent Customer Service skills are a must. Experience in Ordering Office Supplies is necessary. Ability to manage Patient Check-in and Check-Out processes efficiently. Proficient in Patient Scheduling and general Scheduling tasks. Familiarity with Scheduling Appointment - Calendar Management is critical. Strong Data Entry skills are needed.
