Position descriptionContribute to the maintenance of metadata strategy and standards to ensure quality & integrity of the data catalog. Understands and considers business and technical metadata to ensure the strategy is consistent across all covered information domains. Ability to perform cost, benefit, and risk analysis associated with the proposed product/services and recommend alternatives for solutions within the metadata repository/data catalog. Collaborates with stakeholders and users to synthesize, articulate, and document business, technical, and system requirements. Perform analysis, defines and documents business requirements to system specifications, acceptance criteria, user experience requirements and system validation. Work closely with IT counterparts to update data models. Follow procedures & workflows to support metadata management & usage on metadata repository, assist in creation if needed. Assist in documenting source to target data mapping, transformations & controls. Have the ability to translate business and technical requirements. Support implementation & rollout of metadata platform (MCC, Collibra and others). Work closely with Data Stewards in the identification and documentation of business & technical metadata for all critical data elements for covered information domains. Collaborate with business & technical stakeholders on maintaining metadata repository to facilitate consistent adoption of metadata standards across the enterprise, demonstrating the value added by adoption. Support the Data Stewards & business/technical SMEs for each covered information domain. Document business processes, data flows for critical data elements. Analyze business needs by facilitating business & IT discussions and reviewing business requirements. Collaborate with business & technical stakeholders to implement metadata usage & reporting solutions. Assist with design as appropriate. Support metadata distribution & usage across the enterprise. Assist on research, development & implementation of special projects, as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor Degree (business, communications, advertising, marketing, statistics, engineering, technology, health care) and a minimum of 5 years in the Hospital or Healthcare Industry with at least 4 years of experience in data management or development. Experience in with product development.

Additional qualifications Strong technical and analytical skills, as well as hands-on experience with enterprise data management platforms. Collibra experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in with data modeling, relational databases & understanding of SQL queries. Working knowledge of business intelligence tools. 3+ years working with data mapping & transformations. 3+ years working with gathering requirements and translating to technical needs. Experience with regulatory requirements and security. Ability to facilitate metadata sessions with business & technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to gain cooperation from various stakeholders. Excellent time management, customer service, organizational, verbal & written communication skills. Demonstrable ability to work on large cross-functional teams. Strong ability to organize, prioritize & dive into details. Proficiency in Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Exemption status Exempt

Compensation Detail Required education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $3,329.60-$4,660.80 based on a full-time position.
