Automation Test Engineer

Location: Hybrid onsite in MN

Duration: 6 Months +Ext

Tell me about your department:Best Buy is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join Best Buy's Enterprise Data Platform engineering team. This team is responsible for delivering the platform and tooling that supports machine learning and other data driven initiatives throughout Best Buy.

What would a normal day for this position look like• Complete assigned testing and test automation requirements.• Create automated tests for functional and load testing purposes.• Peer review test automation components for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.• Prepare test data to be employed during the execution of automated test scripts.• Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automated test coverage.• Report on automated testing status.• Document and follow the testing process.• Attend team and project related meetings.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Overview:

MUST HAVE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:• 5 or more years of experience in a similar test automation role.• 3+ years of experience building applications using Java or any other JVM based language.• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform or any other cloud provider.• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud BigQuery or any other data warehouse.• Experience with digesting user story acceptance criteria into automated tests.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.• Experience in an Agile environment.• Understanding of streaming data processing technologies.
