Network Admin in Fargo, ND / Moorhead, MN (Hybrid onsite)6-12+ Months with extensions Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software such as routers, firewalls, and switches.Setup and maintain virtual private networks (VPNs).Assist in network design and implementation.Maintain and troubleshoot storage networks, security systems and voice, video and/or data communication networks, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.Monitor computer systems to improve network performance, utilize KPIs and other metrics to manage capacity and demand and meet SLAs.Provide network support to users and resolve network connectivity issues.Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.Create and maintain technical support documentation for systems and applications.Develop and implement network backup and recovery plans, testing strategies and document results.Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.Remediate vulnerabilities and identified weaknesses.Protect networks from unauthorized users through physical and technical means.Follow best practices in the configuration and maintenance of all IT systems.
