Visit cdkglobal.com.POSITION SUMMARYThe Network Solutions Engineer works in a fast-paced environment driving the configuration and deployment of LAN/WAN, SD WAN, and UTM solutions utilizing Meraki, Cisco, VMWare, and Fortinet devices while coordinating integration with other 3rd Party network infrastructure devices into our clients' dealership network. This is a team environment. While the position is remote, we utilize Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, OneDrive, and other productivity tools to communicate with and support each other in our daily tasks. Day-To-Day activities: Installing CDK's suite of network products while working with CDK Field Service and client IT staff. You will regularly collaborate with Project Manager and Sales teams answering install related questions and providing network solution options for special dealer situations. Job Responsibilities 1) Configure Cisco, VMware SDWAN, Meraki, and FortiGate devices per CDK standards. 2) Remotely assist onsite engineer to deploy network devices, test connectivity, and troubleshoot. 3) Coordinate install activity detail with program managers. 4) Complete post install certification and documentation. 5) Collaborate with team members to discuss solutions and resolve install issues. Skills/Experience Needed: - 2-3 years minimum networking experience required. Advanced degree Engineer, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant educational experience etc. preferred.
- Self-starter with strong communication skills to manage remote installation process with onsite staff.
- CCNA or equivalent experience required.
- Experienced in Routing and Switching technologies.
- Experience with technologies such as VPN, MPLS, WAN/LAN, SD WAN, FortiGate, and Meraki deployments.
- Core Business hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5p.m. Some weekend work may be required
- Position will be remote. Consistent internet access required. Candidate located in the upper Midwest (MN, IA, WI, ND, SD, IL), preferred.
