Painter/Mechanical Technician

Job SummaryWork as an Industrial Painter prepping and coating carbon steel frames and brackets, and using a blast cabinet to blast small stainless steel parts.  Also work doing mechanical tasks when there is no demand for painting.Key Characteristics:Ability to work while  wearing a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).Proficient at painting using an HLVP painting system.Is familiar with cleaning and repairing paint equipment (pressure pot and HVLP gun).Willing to work outside of the paint area.Duties & Responsibilities:Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.Adheres to production work instructions.Assists with other departments as needed.Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications.Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated ability and knowledge in industrial coatings and metal preparationWork as a member of a team and independentlyWillingness to cross train on other assembly and/or fabrication disciplines.Basic mathematics skills.
