Personal Care Assistant for 34 y.o. female artist

Looking for a Helper for a 34 y.o. female artist with special needs.

Our daughter has many abilities. She is an artist and enjoys an active lifestyle. She has an innate ability to connect with people and is willing to communicate and share with those who take the time to engage and understand her. She is non-verbal and requires direct assistance with walking, dressing and eating. Despite her disabilities, she has made great strides in overcoming her circumstances. A compassionate and energetic helper is exactly what she needs to keep her pushing forward in life. The successful candidate and our daughter will have the opportunity to craft each day and embark on meaningful adventures to museums, theaters, cafes, and arboretums among other fun destinations. A typical day is filled with art-making, visiting a gallery, seeing a movie, going to yoga, and getting a mocha at a favorite cafe. It's our hope that the successful candidate will help our daughter get out in the community and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Requirements:

Female, taller than 5 ft. to assist with walking.

Compassionate, patient, and kind.

Must have a car and cell phone.

Non-smoker.

The job requires some physical and emotional strength.

No prior PCA experience required.

Must successfully pass background check and drug test.

Must be available weekdays.
