PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a significant code contributor, own and be accountable for your work, drive engineering best practices and ensure the development of high-quality code Be a great team player, mentor team members and help build a team of high caliber data engineers Drive resolution of technology roadblocks, including code, infrastructure, build and deployment obstacles Advocate for new technologies, frameworks, design patterns and process improvements Ensure code adheres to all development & security standardsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE (examples below) BS degree in computer science or equivalent Experience developing solutions with SQL (MySQL, Postgres or similar) Experience developing solutions leveraging NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Mongo or similar) Experience with python or related scripting language Experience working on Microsoft Azure (Databrick, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions, etc.) Extensive experience working in an agile environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, etc.) Extensive experience working with DevOps tools (Microsoft Azure stack preferred) Must be willing to learning new technologiesPREFFERED SKILLS & ABILITIES (example below) Experience with Java, Spring Boot or other JVM languages and frameworks is desirable Experience with Docker containers is desirable Experience with container orchestration is desirable Experience working with various machine learning algorithms is desirable Some experience with event-driven architecture using an event-streaming technology like Kafka is desirable Contributions to the Open-Source community is desirable- ID: #23619878
