If you are a software engineering professional who enjoys critical thinking, solving difficult technicalproblems, and is looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Basedin our Shakopee, Minnesota location, you will create world-class embedded software for pressure and temperature industrial process measurement devices which are used in safety and mission-critical applications.

AS A FIRMWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: Work with an interdisciplinary team Perform Object-Oriented Design and coding of real-time embedded software Participate in software requirements activities, including elicitation, analysis, and documentation Participate in extensive peer reviews Create and execute unit and integration tests Debug software and hardware/software integration issues

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School
  • Two or more years of applicable experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • Good communication skills and the ability to participate as a member of a team
  • Experience with related technologies (C/C, Object-Oriented Design, UML, real-time operatingsystems, microcontrollers, serial communication protocols such as SPI, SCI, IIC, CA
