OverviewM Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Radiologic Technologist on the Flex Workforce team to support Fairview Clinics.Join the Flex Clinic team and as a member of the care team, the Radiologic Technologist provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.This position supports the Flex Workforce. The FLEX workforce cover shifts at multiple clinics across the region. The schedule is posted 6 weeks in advance to help promote a work life balance.Flex workforce employees receive hospital based pay, w ith an opportunity to earn an additional $3/hour for hours worked in their region but outside of their home clinic group.This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.This position is eligible for a $4,000 sign on bonus!ResponsibilitiesThe Flex X-Ray Technologist functions independently, adhering to the requirements of professional practice in performing all work responsibilities. The technologist performs a wide variety of complex diagnostic testing in the discipline of radiology, as well as other diagnostic imaging services they are qualified to perform. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.This Flex X-Ray Technologist position regularly travels to provide X-ray services at multiple locations. The length of an assignment at a location will vary based on need (i.e. 1 day or for an extended period of time), additionally there may be situations where traveling to more than one location during a work day occurs, sometimes with short and/or no notice.Prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing.
Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
Applies established professional guidelines and standards for complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures.
Adheres to radiologic diagnostic testing procedures.
Documents compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
Follows infection control guidelines.
Adheres to safety protocols.
Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols.
Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members.
Responds appropriately to emergent situations.
Evaluates imaging results for diagnostic quality.
Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.
Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution.
