Job Title: R&D Pilot Plant TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Operations Technician role involves setting up, sanitizing, and running equipment for new food production trials. You will exhibit strong customer service skills in support of various ITQ platforms as a partner and technical expert. This role is set in an R&D environment where you will work with exclusive and trademarked food products and manufacturing pilot plants. You will be responsible for heavy lifting of 50lb bags for mixing with industrial mixers, setting up pilot plants using hand tools, and working in an industrial, blue-collar environment. You will execute and document tests, panels, and minor experiments, procure and manage materials, and manage and maintain pilot plant spaces. Basic equipment setup, teardown, and sanitation are also part of the job. You will safely operate large equipment such as mixers, valves, and pumps, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments. You will assist a Product Development team to create a variety of food products on a production line. You will be responsible for determining the production setup, verifying the finished products, and changing the production setup over trials. Your role is crucial in helping run the pilot plant effectively.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Golden Valley, MN.Work EnvironmentPilot Plant Production environment working with production staff, food product developers, and occasional test kitchen staff. This position requires heavy lifting and manual labor. There will be times when you need to sanitize before/after a run where you will be working with your hands. The entire pilot plant division has 10-15 different pilot plants running.
