Join our team as a Pediatric ICU RN at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital!Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, we deliver a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation.Our compassionate, innovative approach has repeatedly received national recognition. We are proud to be the oldest academic children’s hospital in Minnesota and the longest-running top-ranked children’s hospital in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.The Pediatric ICU has 12 beds and works closely with Pediatric CVICU on same floor. Our pediatric patients range from newborns to young adults. The unit has medical and surgical patients that include transplant (solid organ, blood and marrow, auto-islet, kidney, liver), neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonary, ENT, hematology/oncology, orthopedic and trauma. Our care team includes RNs and Nursing Station Technicians, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2.We offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, vacation/sick time, pension, 403(b) plan, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment program and more. Manages medication and infusion therapies.

Provides care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on unit.

Cares for critically ill, trauma and transplant patients and those who require observation and monitoring.

Safely employs the following monitoring devices:

Arterial lines

Cardiac Monitoring

Invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic

QualificationsRequired:

MN RN licensure and BLS

1 year of Med/Surg RN experience

Preferred :

1 year of ICU RN experience

BSN

Certification in related specialty is highly desired.
