Job Title: Ruby Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN (work from home flexibility)

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on skills & experience, plus benefits (health, vacation, 401K)

Essential Job Duties:
  • Maintain and evolve the primary Ruby on Rails code base
  • Work with the Technology Director, and business stakeholders as needed, to define requirements and develop new features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Implement both back-end (database, billing, etc.) and front-end (UI for administration, sales, customer service, technician, and customer portal) components

Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency developing and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications
  • Front-end experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to design and query large relational datasets using SQL
  • Working knowledge developing dynamic user interfaces for a variety of users and devices
  • Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbally with internal and external clients
  • Must possess the capability to collaborate with a large team from a broad range of disciplines
  • Favorable drug test and acceptable background record are also required

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience deploying and maintaining production environments on Linux servers
  • Working knowledge of Android app development using Kotlin
  • CoffeeScript experience
  • PostgreSQL experience
