This isNOT a remote or work from home position. TheSafety Specialistis responsible to ensure safety compliance by: facilitating on-the-job training with drivers, reviewing and monitoring safety processes, performing accident investigations, assisting with driver counseling and partnering with internal and external customers on equipment safety issues. “What does it take to be successful?”
2-4 years of experience in driver training/facilitation or an equivalent experience.
CDL is preferred or willing to obtain.
Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation compliance regulations.
Excellent knowledge of heavy haul tractor/trailer requirements and working knowledge of wind transportation industry or the ability to learn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate driver training in the safe operation of tractor equipment, securement and loading skills, and FMSCA regulations and policies.
Complete post-classroom, monthly and annual in-person training with drivers.
Identify & perform retraining of drivers needing refresher training.
Teaches value driven driving courses in the truck.
