Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to read and understand basic work instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Additional Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working with Selective Solder machines or other machines in a machine operator role
  • Experience working with electronic components, through-hole
  • Knowledge of IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Job Description:
  • Prepare PCBA's and make necessary adjustments to support the selective solder process
  • Capable of running both Pillar House and Ersa selective solder machines
  • Runs Burn-In Boards as needed for Senior Selective Solder Operator
  • Visually inspect solder flow process to minimize top soldering, bridges, pin holes and other possible error causing problems
  • Adjusts temperature and pressure controls, board conveyor measurements, flux foam rate, and height of solder wave for proper board flow
  • Monitors flux and solder levels and make adds as needed. Prepare circuit boards for operation as required taking in to consideration potential issues using tin-lead or silver solder
  • Adequately clean completed PCBA's and equipment
  • Operator is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance of the machine(s) as directed
  • Trains new and less experienced selective solder operators
  • Ensure productive workflow, quality requirements and standards are met or exceeded
  • Responsible for effective and efficient preparation, execution, problem solving and processing
  • Constructively assess daily machine performance with Lead
  • Responsibly operates, maintains, and utilizes equipment, tools, supplies, and other resources in accordance with Micro Control Companies set policy
  • Accurately and timely reporting labor hours, activities, improvement opportunities, issues and safety concerns
  • Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to your team-lead or supervisor
  • Responsible for work performed at or above the standard average of assembly speed and quality of product
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition by performing daily organization and cleanup of work area
  • Participates in team activities and actively shares knowledge, ideas, honest observations, and best practices with the team
  • Provide feedback to the team-lead on barriers, problems, and issues
  • Other duties as assigned
