They will also work with peers and leadership in other activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies and / or services to support the business. Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.

Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.

Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, program execution.

Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.

Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.

Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.

Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

And other related duties as needed per direction from leadership

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

Project coordination / management experience

Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)

Proficient in MS Office skills

Experience working in a cross-functional team, such as including members from operations/production, technical/engineering groups, finance departments, etc.

Detail oriented with ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to become a go-to subject matter expert for transactional buyers

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
