Job Description

Our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is constantly looking for ways to provide actionable business insights to improve a business process and enable business decisions in a user-friendly way.

You are constantly engaged with business teams and leaders and listen carefully to business challenges in order to offer ideas and possible solutions that are relevant in today’s marketplace.You are involved in providing insights from concept to delivery, while managing and prioritizing the product delivery backlog. You possess solid understanding of SAP capabilities, domain knowledge/expertise and are capable of translating business requirements into visual insights and reports.

Specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with business management team to identify top priority BI deliverables that generate revenue, improve the bottom line, eliminate complexity or drastically improve business processes
  • Collaboratewith business and IT Teams to deliver fully functional BI deliverables that are actionable and meet business needs
  • Subject matter expert who understands the business needs and translates them into user stories (or Specs) and backlog items
  • Ensure each story or backlog item has the correct acceptance criteria
  • Be available to attend daily stand-ups as needed and work with development teams so that clear understanding of backlog items is achieved by providing guidance and clarification when sought. When needed participate in direct development activities.
  • Participate in sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Establish strong, open and real business team leader relationships and represent the customer/business teams on development efforts
  • Participates in team activities and team planning in regard to improving team skills, awareness and quality of work
  • Provide mentoring and training to internal BI and business teams on use of BI tools and capabilities
  • Develop quality code and its associated documentation adhering to team and Departmental development standards
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of issues
  • Keep abreast of industry BI trends and capabilities
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Sciences, Finance or equivalent job experience

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of recent experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Planning and/or Supply Chain Analytics
  • 5+ years delivering Insights, Dashboards, Visualizations/Reports to business teams using tools like Microsoft Power BI & SAP Webi
  • 3+ years of Agile Development

Preferred:

  • Analytic experience with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Sales Planning and Promotions
  • Understanding and experience with SAP ECC, BW on Hana, Hana Modeling, SAP Hana Modeling tools, S4 Hana
  • Understanding and experience with AI, ML, IOT, Data Sciences, unstructured data

  • Ability to conceptualize, analyze issue and deliver solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills
  • Identify and define business questions and associated data needs
  • Partner with business team to create actionable Business Intelligence deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work with an iterative and incremental development environment
  • Familiar with multiple Agile development methodologies, has been part of an agile team and is comfortable leading an agile team
