JOB POSITION: Senior EngineerLOCATION: 1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403DUTIES: Analyze diverse business problems and design high quality and innovative solutions using Hadoop and other big data technologies; develop and implement large-scale data systems; create and configure software that generates require analytical information and reports for business units and internal groups; deliver technical products hands on, with high quality and on time that create significant impact to our business; apply experience with design of data integration using ETL, ELT, and other data integration patterns; build data pipeline using Spark-Scala to consume the data from various Kafka topics/Rest API end-points; effectively lead technology discussions with business partners and other external parties; implement data structures using best practices in data modeling; organize data use and metadata effectively; implement queries and data transfer processes; identify business solutions, and negotiate deliverables and requirements; interpret, synthesize and deliver insights; execute proof-of-concept activities to best understand what options solve the business problems and fit with other Target technical assets; perform code reviews on pull requests; and keep current with technology and contribute towards IT blueprint, frameworks and technologies that would benefit employer and improve productivity.
